I'm instituting a new topic for this blog called Sleeper of the Day. In sticking with my theme from Jumping the Waiver Wire, on the eve of every game night I'm going to pick one guy playing the next day who is on no more than 20 percent of all Yahoo! league rosters as my...sleeper of the day. Those are the rules and I'm sticking stringently to the figure "20 percent" becuase that seems to be about the cut off for what's available on a usual basis in a standard 12 team league. I'm going to try to churn these out as early in the day as possible to give you guys a fighting chance at landing said player. And the first sleeper of the day is....
Vladimir Radmanovic - Charlotte (11% Ownership):

On this Wednesday, you need look no further than the first game on the slate. Radmanovic's situation is brand new, making this one of the more cavalier picks possible. In his first game with the Bobcats, it came as a bit of a surprise to me that Larry Brown inserted the 7-footer, Diop, into the starting lineup and brought Radmanovic off the bench. Eventhough he didn't start, he still saw almost 30 minutes. Investigating further, my guess is that Vlad-Rad will start for two reasons: 1) the Bobcats are going up against a smaller front line in Washington than they did Monday; a team that plays a tweener power forward who Radmanovic would matchup with well sizewise, 2) Larry Brown changes his starting lineups out like I change socks each week...quite often. But don't add him just because he'll start. It turns out that the Wizards are the easiest team in the NBA to score three pointers on, Radmanovic's strongest aspect. Their power forwards give up a PER average of 18.1, well above league average. Their starter, Jamison, is great on offense but lacks a superior defensive game. Without their leading scorer in the game, the Bobcats will be giving Radmanovic a ton of shots against a team that gives up over 102 points per game. Get him now!!!
