Apologies are due because after a successful first two picks of Sleeper of the Day, the last couple have been pretty big flops. If you're taking my advice know that I'm trying my best to find exploitable situations and match-ups. Hopefully tonight's pick, C.J. Miles, breaks me out of this funk. Let me just say that finding guys under 20 percent ownership is really tough but necessary for those in deep leagues who are streaming. With that in mind I've decided to double down on Friday and select two guys to get this thing back on track. Only with their successes will my bruised ego start to heal.
Von Wafer - Houston (7% Ownership), Antoine Wright - Dallas (2% Ownership)
Game: Dallas at Houston, 8 p.m. EST tip off
The expedition I took getting to these picks was an interesting one. After deliberating for a good half hour over which game to target, I stumbled into the most intriguing one on the slate: the Battle of Texas. I had Von

Wafer targeted going in because I thought with T-Mac out he might get a chance to shine and low and behold he did his last game, the second with T-Mac out of the lineup. He scored 19 and hit four 3-pointers Tuesday in a Rockets laugher over the Nets. It appears since Artest has stepped into McGrady's starting shooting guard spot that Wafer will fill Artest's sixth man role. That or Wafer will move into the starting lineup himself. Either way Wafer comes out a winner in this and is in line to see big minutes from here on out. The match up against Dallas is nothing special. He's going up against another unknown shooting guard in Wright and when I found out what he's been up to, I determined he needed to be up here too.
Wright, one of my picks in last week's
Jumping the Waiver Wire article, has been playing unbelievably well, relatively speaking, since Jason Terry went down a week and a half ago. The fourth year man out of Texas A&M was

inserted into the starting lineup for good in early January and has seen over 24 minutes a night there. He's been getting increased floor time with Terry out and tonight tallied 40 minutes, 20 points and four 3-pointers against the same Nets team that Wafer went off against. Wright has scored over 20 points in two of his last three games and is still only has two percent ownership, showing that people have yet to catch on. Pick up either him or Wafer (both preferably) for this one and I'm certain neither will leave you dissatisfied.
