Jose Juan Barea — Dallas (4% Ownership)
Game: Dallas @ San Antonio, 8:30 p.m. EST
Another Battle of Texas will yield a similar result for J.J. Barea. I gave up on him last week and chose teammate Antoine Wright in Dallas' game against Houston and, of course, Barea went off for 26 points, five 3-pointers, five assists, four rebounds and two steals. So basically because of Barea's recent struggles

at the time, I missed out on calling a really sick game. Not this time. In this one Barea faces a San Antonio team that you don't want any player you stream in to face, being among the toughest teams in the league to tally points and assists on. The good news is in Dallas' last game against San Antonio, the Mavericks were in the midst of a six game experiment with Barea in the starting lineup. In that contest Barea shined with 21 points, five assists and two 3-pointers. As this shows he has the potential to put up good numbers against the Spurs, which you can't say for everyone. But head into this one with tempered expectations, knowing that Barea's ceiling against the Spurs may have already been reached in that last game in which he played nearly 40 minutes. These days it's hard to find a safer bet than Barea to plug into your lineup off the waiver wire. That's why he's the clear cut choice on this day. And if he screws up, you know who to blame.
No, it's not me. It's the San Antonio defense, of course.
