Don't get me wrong...I think with Eric Gordon and Beno Udrih likely out of action Saturday that both Fred Jones and Bobby Jackson make excellent picks. But, although I haven't announced it, I'm choosing not to reuse two guys from the same week. So with that stipulation in mind, tomorrow night's SOD is:
Andray Blatche — Washington (19% Ownership)
Game: Washington @ Milwuakee, 8:30 EST tipoff
On the last day of the first month of
Sleeper of the Day, I'm taking a high end pick with 19 percent ownership to attempt to salvage a successful week. Realize that I haven't seen the Wizards' Friday night game against Chicago before making this selection, which would most likely factor into my decision. But

rules are rules and I'm getting this out ASAP.
This may look like a crazy pick after the two bad games Blatche is coming off of. However, I know that it's only a matter of time before he breaks out of this funk, replaces Darius Songaila in the starting lineup and starts cashing in on the potential that he has shown, still at the young age of 22. The kid who came straight out of high school is more than capable of filling up the stat sheet in a variety of ways. I like him in this game in particular because of the Bucks' propensity for going small. They only have one true sized center that they give substantial minutes to. Francisco Elason starts and when he goes to the bench, Blatche, who is currently a sub, should get to feast on little guys. He's due and my gut tells me he will be hard for the Bucks to handle in this one. Milwaukee isn't the easiest team to produce on from a fantasy standpoint, but their big men are much easier to do well on than their small guys, so even if they go big, Blatche has a decent shot in this one.
