Well we're through the first month, which Bobby Jackson, last night, helped come to a close with a bang. Who is in store for Sunday? Here goes...
Michael Finley — San Antonio (16% Ownership)
Game: San Antonio @ Portland, 8 p.m. EST
I was slow on the uptake in covering Fin-dog, who has done a great job in the absence of Manu Ginobili.
The grizzled vet has been the Spurs' best fantasy player in the six games since Ginobili went down, averaging 32 minutes, 12.7 PPG, 2.2 3PG, 4.8 RPG, along with decent defensive peripherals and great percentages. I'm not looking far past those numbers for this pick. The Blazers and Nicolas Batum are both tough to put up good numbers against and in the game between San Antonio and Portland a few nights ago, Finley's night was solid but not spectacular: 13 points, one 3-pointer, six rebounds, one turnover and absolutely nothing else. But this stream-in pick is as close to a sure thing as you'll get when dealing with waiver wire talent, so if you are in need of these stats on the last day of your match-up, swoop Fin-dog because there's a good chance you'll get them in this one.
